Review Process
How It Works
Every contribution follows a careful path before it joins the archive.
- 01 Share Your Story Register with My Pride, then tell us your memory.
- 02 Editorial Review The Committee reads for quality, tone and fit.
- 03 Historical Verification If required, dates, names and context are checked with care.
- 04 Committee Approval Final sign-off for publication.
- 05 Published in the Digital Heritage Archive Your story becomes part of the living heritage of the College.
Standards
Editorial Principles
Every story published in Memories of the Pride is reviewed to ensure it:
- reflects the values and heritage of Bandaranayake College;
- is respectful and appropriate for publication;
- does not contain offensive, defamatory or inappropriate content;
- respects the privacy and dignity of individuals; and
- preserves the authenticity of the contributor’s story.
Minor editorial changes may be made to improve grammar, formatting or readability without changing the original meaning.
After Approval
Recognition
Contributors may receive:
- ✓ Thank You Email (planned for production)
- ✓ Contributor Certificate (optional · planned)
- ✓ Story Link in the Digital Heritage Archive
- ✓ Featured in Recently Published
